How To Verify If A Driver Will Work On Your Computer

If you want to verify if the driver you are about to install will work is to use a little known Windows XP tool called Verifier.    

1. To start Verifier go to Start --> Run and type verifier.

2. The Driver Verifier Manager utility will be opened and from here you can choose a task suited for your setup.

3. You can choose  to auto select a driver or select from a list. In this example we are going to use it from a list.

4. Select the device driver and reboot your computer.  If there are problems with the driver you will get the Blue Screen of Death with an error message.  If the driver is working properly the system will start up normally.

5. When you want to disable the Verifier go to Start --> Run and type verifier /reset , and press Enter.

From now you will not anymore install drivers that can block your computer and make it work bad. You will have the possibility to test them!.
