1. Open any folder and click on Organize and then on Folder and Search options.

2. Change the option "Click items as follows" to "Single-click" instead of "Double-click".

3. After you make this settings and point the cursor over an icon and you'll see it underlined, and a single click will open the folder.

4. If you not point the cursor over an incon, your icons will look normal:

The majority of people prefer to leave Vista to the default double-click, but some prefer single clicking.
