How To Disable Firefox AutoScroll

Sometimes when clicking on a page with the scrool wheel  the  "Auto Scroll' icon shows up and suddenly the page is moving around and scrolling all by itself.

It is very annoying but there is a way to disable this behavior.

Disable Firefox AutoScroll

1. Open Firefox and go to Tools --> Options.

Disable Firefox AutoScroll

2.
Click the Advanced tab and uncheck the Use autoscrolling box.

Disable Firefox AutoScroll

The effect is immediate so you won't need to restart your computer.

Why would someone want to disable it?? I love it!! I guess it's a personal preference. One thing I have to change is the JavaScript... Turn off "move or resize existing windows" It annoys me when a page changes the size of the browser :)
