In Windows XP when you delete files they are sent to the Recycle Bin. To immediately delete files, without having them move to the Recycle Bin you must edit some settings in the Group Policy Editor. Here is what you have to do:
1. Go to Start -> Run... and type gpedit.msc. 2. Now navigate to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer. 3. Once you do this find Do not move deleted files to the Recycle Bin. 4. Set this option to true. And that is all you have to do in order to immediately delete files.
